About Me
Chartered and HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
I qualified with a BSc Physiotherapy (distinction) from Glasgow in 1989 and practiced in The Southern General Hospital (now the Queen Elizabeth) gaining experience across a variety of specialities. I also enjoyed working in a Sports Injury Clinic.

My journey north has happened in phases, moving initially to Broughty Ferry where I worked in out-patients in local hospitals at Arbroath and St Andrews and then set up a service in a busy GP surgery.

Although working in MSK is my first love (I enjoy the challenge and the puzzle of unpicking symptoms layer by layer) I have a special interest in managing chronic pain as well as immune disorders and how these affect the body physically, psychologically and emotionally.

I have a personal interest in women's health, fibromyalgia and ME.

Ten years ago I met a lovely man who captured my heart and brought me to the highlands and I've never looked back!
Vision
I want to provide the service I'd like to experience. An un-rushed appointment where you can unpack your symptoms and concerns and experience a one-to-one personalised plan that has hands-on physiotherapy at its core.
How Physiotherapy Can Help You
Stiffness
Acute or chronic stiffness in muscles and joints can be a frustrating and debilitating experience. Physiotherapy helps you regain mobility and reduces your discomfort.
Regaining Quality of Life
Are you feeling overwhelmed and struggling to enjoy life? Physiotherapy can help you prioritise your physical health, improve your mental wellbeing, and reduce emotional stress and anxiety.

Pain
Musculoskeletal pain affects millions of people and can be a major cause of disability. Coping with pain can be a lonely and challenging experience.
Whole Body Approach
A key principle of physiotherapy is the concept of synergy, the coordinated action of different muscles and joints to produce movement. By working together, these structures can help to improve overall function and reduce pain and discomfort.
Core Stability
A personalised and realsitic plan to strengthen abdominal, back, and pelvic muscles improves stability, balance, and sports performance.
Independence
A combination of improving movement, managing pain, tailored exercise, and other means empowers you with the tools to improve your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
